Safe
I run my fingers across my wrist,
As the red river flows.
It numbs me taking away my pain.
I close my eyes,
As I drown myself in my thoughts.
Letting them become real.
I take a deep breath,
As I die a bit more inside.
Watching myself disappear.
My tears fall down,
As the water rises.
Struggling with myself.
I take my last breath
As I get pulled under.
I let myself fall, knowing that I'm safe now.

Daily Noises of the Night
I rest my head against the wall, listening to the sounds of the wind.
The breeze hits my hair, blowing it in my face.
I close my eyes, tightly, trying so hard to imagine myself in a different place.
The screams start up again, hitting the walls.
Their banging so hard, that it makes my heart thump.
I try to swallow, but I've gotten a lump.
I rock myself back and forth, hoping it would help.
It does nothing...
I hear her scream for help, and I want to go to her rescue, I really do.
But I've gotten two broken legs, and there's... just nothing I can do.
The screaming gets louder for a minute or two t
Remembrance
Died in the Past,
They live on today.
This is their own,
Special day.
Flowers of Red,
And Poems to pray
To encourage those,
That live on today.
Unfamiliar faces,
We bow our heads down.
For that moment of silence,
The crowed gathers round'.
Giving our respects,
Our feelings to show.
To a meaningful loss,
That shall continue to grow.
Some have been sent to the grave,
Though, they live on in our hearts.
And stay in our memories,
For those that they've saved.
Never shall we forget,
This day that we share.
Their day of Remembrance,
That will always be there.
